I know most of you probably didn't sleep very well last night as you anxiously awaited the results from the annual Huskie slo-pitch tournament that took place on Saturday.
After going 2-2 in the round robin, the Alumni came back to win the tournament for a 5th consecutive year. They scored 2 runs in extra innings in the final to take home the championship. Stellar pitching, (including an immaculate inning...3 pitches 3 outs) timely hitting, aggressive base running, and stellar defense were the key to the victory.Thanks to the current Huskie players for hosting and putting up a battle! Tomorrow is Labour Day. Frick...I say today is Labouring Day as I can hardly walk.
